Why Alignment Matters More Than You Think
Most people think alignment is only about keeping the steering wheel straight. In reality, it does far more than that. A proper alignment affects how your vehicle handles, how your tires wear and even how much fuel you burn. It is one of the easiest things to ignore and one of the smartest things to stay on top of.
When your alignment is off, your vehicle fights itself. The tires are not pointing in the exact same direction, so they drag slightly as you drive. You may feel the steering wheel pull to one side, but sometimes the symptoms are subtle. A little wander on the highway. A slight vibration. Tires that look fine on the outside but are wearing unevenly on the inside edge.
That uneven wear is expensive. Misalignment shortens the life of your tires by thousands of kilometers. You end up replacing them far earlier than necessary, and you lose money without even realizing it. Fuel economy also drops because your engine has to work harder to compensate for the drag.
Winter, potholes and rough roads in our area make alignment issues even more common. One hard hit can knock things out of spec. A proper alignment restores balance, improves handling and makes your ride smoother and safer. It also protects other suspension components from unnecessary stress.
Think of alignment as a simple tune up for how your vehicle rolls down the road. It keeps everything working together the way it was designed.
